Sound walks
My interest in sound ecology stems in part from being a musician and in part from my interest in the impact of industrial sound on species at risk in their environments. Sound walks are guided or directed experiences of sound landscapes as you move through a particular environment. In 2018, Holophon Audio Arts invited me to lead a guided sound walk through a natural area within an urban environment. Subsequent walks have been based more on my auditory bird survey work on native prairie.
